2K Games has welcomed a seasoned producer from the creators of Apex Legends to lead the studio crew at their internal studio, which is currently developing the forthcoming third-person action-packed title known as Project Ethos.
Leadership Change Comes After Mixed Feedback
The new appointee assumes the leadership position at 31st Union following the dismissal of previous head Michael Condrey, who was removed from his post due to the game's lackluster initial reveal last autumn.
Recently, 2K president a key figure informed employees about this strategic move through an official communication, which emphasized that playtesting had shown the necessity for a more defined vision.
The president expressed that the team is now overhauling the project with a revised focus, aiming to satisfy player expectations.
A Pattern of Strategic Acquisitions
This announcement follows a similar action taken by 2K Games in August, when they recruited an industry veteran from the Diablo team to assist with the BioShock development group.

Brinkman currently serves in the position of executive producer and production lead at the renowned studio for Apex Legends. Brinkman previously worked at major gaming companies in multiple production roles on the Call of Duty games, and, before that, had periods at other industry leaders.
Game Information and Concept
The upcoming game was announced in October 2024 together with a public demo. At the time, the developers portrayed the title as a "free-to-play, third-person perspective action-packed experience and an innovative evolution on the category."
